Lovely, Donal! Can't wait to hear more. What journey! We're also restoring a cottage by the sea in Nova Scotia and it's a journey. Looking forward to following you along!
Got slightly emotional reading this. What a journey you, as a family, have been and are on. Looking forward to the updates and wishing you minimal delays along the way!
Thank you! It was quite cathartic to write it and go back through all the photos- most definitely a journey. Hoping for smoother sailing through the next process!
How exciting! Yes, much work with headaches. But the end result is a HOME where the boys will grow up and, hopefully, remain in the family Best of luck. Send us lots of pictures and videos. Sounds like you've been doing your homework!
I can’t wait to see the progress! And especially what you do with the kitchen. Such an exciting project that I’ve no doubt you will do a fantastic job on. 💫
I really enjoyed reading this Donal. I love looking at other people's houses😀. I've followed you since you moved back here with Arthur in tow. You are all brilliant. Best of luck with everything.
Our family did the “pioneer” move from CA to OR in 1989. Our kids were 4/6. First of our friends to move out of state (for years). I wish you luck. My only advice. My kids remembered being “dragged” from shop to shop, looking for lighting, tile, flooring etc. Try to have them in another space for some of those project shopping trips. We built a 3k home. It was beautiful. They now have kids and homes of their own. Blessings to you
Finding your forever home is the best! We’ve been in ours since 2020. Moved in two days before Covid shut the world down. With the shut down we, ourselves, did lots of renos. Looking forward to seeing your Reno’s.
Will be following with interest!

Congratulations Donal, hope all goes well. How did you get rid of mare’s tail?
We didn’t! Hoping to get it sorted when we clear the site
We wish you the best of luck. You deserve it!!!
If you have a vision you’re 3/4 of the way there…it will be so exciting to watch every bit of progress on the way to your dream house.
Kathleen
